Content License

When a Client pays in full for a Project, the Client receives full ownership of the Finished File - the edited video delivered through the Service. The Client may use, edit, distribute, broadcast, monetize, and otherwise exploit the Finished File in any media, worldwide, royalty-free, in perpetuity, without further payment to ViralWhip or the Editor.

The Client owns the Finished File outright. ViralWhip and the Editor retain no ownership interest in the delivered video, and there is no recurring license fee. The only exception is the Free Sample (Section 4), which remains subject to the limited terms described there.

All raw footage, audio, images, and other materials a Client uploads remain the Client's property. ViralWhip and the Editor receive only a limited, temporary license to access and use that source material for the sole purpose of producing the Finished File and operating the Project. We do not claim ownership of your source footage.

Because you own your source footage, you are responsible for making sure you have the rights to everything you upload - including any music, stock clips, voiceovers, logos, or third-party footage. If an edit incorporates material you do not have rights to, the resulting Finished File may be subject to claims by the rights holder, and ViralWhip is not liable for such claims. We may remove content that we believe infringes third-party rights.

The Free Sample edit is provided at no charge so you can evaluate our work. You may use the Free Sample Finished File for personal and promotional purposes. ViralWhip may apply a watermark or other identifier to the Free Sample, and the Sample is not included in the full ownership transfer described in Section 1. Full ownership of a Free Sample Finished File may be granted if you later convert it to a paid Project.

By using the Service, you grant ViralWhip a limited, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and share your completed Finished Files in our marketing and promotional materials - including our website, social media, ads, case studies, and portfolio reels - for the purpose of promoting ViralWhip.

This marketing license applies only to Finished Files you have approved and paid for. It does not give us the right to sell your videos, license them to third parties, or use your raw source footage for marketing.

If you would prefer that we not use your Finished File in our marketing, you can opt out at any time by contacting us through the in-app support feature or by replying to your project confirmation email with the subject line "Marketing Opt-Out." We will remove the video from our public marketing materials within a reasonable time. Opting out does not affect your ownership of the Finished File or your use of the Service.

Editors may show Finished Files they produced in a private portfolio or demo reel for self-promotion, unless the Client requests otherwise in writing. Editors may not use Client source footage for any purpose beyond the Project and a portfolio, and may not represent the Client's brand or business as their own.

Unless ViralWhip explicitly provides licensed music or stock assets for a Project, the Client is responsible for obtaining and paying for any third-party music, sound effects, or stock footage used in the edit. ViralWhip is not liable for copyright claims arising from client-supplied assets.

The ViralWhip name, logo, software, designs, and platform content are owned by us or our licensors. This License does not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding, except as needed to receive the Service.

We may update this Content License from time to time. We will post the updated version in the Service and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated license.
